The Albany Carroll Arts Building is at the heart for one of Chicago's fastest growing art districts. The complex of two interconnected warehouse buildings has been a center of artistic activity since 1985 and it currently provides workspace for over 70 artist working in different mediums. The buildings are home to a variety of diverse mediums that include the works of painters, sculptors, photographers, stained glass artistans, woodworkers and a bronze casting foundry. The cooperative has held an annual Open Studio Event for the last thirteen years where for two days the general public is invited to observe the art and techniques of the artists in their own studio environs.
